Privacy Policy

Horizon (“we,” “us,” or “the app”) is a personal planner with optional calendar sync, operated by Nieves Studio LLC. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using Horizon you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address (and display name, if you provide one). You may sign in with email and password or with Google Sign-In. Authentication is handled by our backend provider, Supabase.
Planner content. The notes, goals, tasks, projects, and entries you create (daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual) are stored so they can sync across your devices and be restored if you reinstall the app.
Google Calendar data (optional). If you choose to connect Google Calendar, the app accesses your calendar to read and create events on your behalf. This access is used solely to display and manage your events inside Horizon and only while you keep the connection enabled. You can disconnect at any time.
Diagnostic data. To keep the app stable we use Sentry to collect crash reports and basic error/diagnostic information. This does not include the content of your planner entries.
Device notifications. If you enable reminders, they are scheduled locally on your device.

How we use your information

To provide, sync, and back up your planner across your devices.
To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
To display and manage your Google Calendar events, if you connect them.
To diagnose crashes and improve the app’s reliability.
To send the reminders you enable.

How your information is stored

Your account and planner data are stored in our cloud database (Supabase) and cached locally on your device for offline access. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to your data is restricted to your own account.

Google API Services

Horizon’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google Calendar data for advertising, and we do not sell it or share it with third parties except as needed to provide the app’s features to you.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that operate the app on our behalf — Supabase (database and authentication), Google (sign-in and, if enabled, Calendar), and Sentry (crash reporting) — and only to the extent needed to provide these features. We may disclose information if required by law.

Your choices and rights

Access and update. You can view and edit your profile and planner data in the app at any time.
Disconnect Calendar. You can disconnect Google Calendar from within the app.
Delete your account. The app’s “Delete account” option erases your planner data. You may also contact us to request deletion.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account or your data, it is removed from our systems, subject to any retention required by law.

Children

Horizon is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.

Before publishing: replace REPLACE_WITH_SUPPORT_EMAIL with your real support email, confirm the effective date, and host this file at a public HTTPS URL (e.g. GitHub Pages). That URL goes in the Google OAuth consent screen and your App Store / Play Store listing. When the AI features and “Horizon Pro” subscription ship, this policy should be updated to describe the AI processing and subscription billing.
